White dead-nettle is a soft, mucilaginous flower that loosens phlegm and steadies the blood-flow of the pelvic organs, the womb above all. It has a long standing in a catarrhal chest and gut, in heavy periods with troublesome discharge, and folk use for restlessness and broken sleep. Infuse a teaspoon of the flowers, about a gram, in half a cup of water, one hot cup three times a day.
