Living Algorithm

Last updated: July 8, 2026

1. Who We Are

Living Algorithm (“Living Algorithm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a service operated by AI Tech Magic LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website at www.livingalgorithm.com (the “Service”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

If you have any questions about this policy or your personal information, contact us at hello@livingalgorithm.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

a. Information you provide directly

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (which is stored in hashed form by our authentication provider — we never see or store your password in plain text). If you sign in with Google or Apple instead, we receive your name and email address from that provider — never a password.
  • Payment information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment card number. Stripe handles your card details directly. We store identifiers that link your account to your Stripe customer and subscription records (a Stripe customer ID and subscription ID) so we can manage your subscription.
  • Content you create. When you use features such as the Blend, we store the rituals you save and any reflections or notes you add to them.
  • Wellness inputs. When you use features such as our plant-information and symptom-to-suggestion tools, we process the symptom descriptions you enter and any plant photographs you upload, in order to generate a response.
  • Email sign-ups and waitlists. If you subscribe to our email list, we collect your email address through our email marketing provider. If you join the Crossing waitlist, we also collect your first name, the chapter you are drawn to, and your preferred travel window.

b. Information collected automatically

  • Session/authentication cookies. We use cookies (or similar local storage) that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service, plus a small preference cookie that remembers your chosen language. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics tracking cookies.

We do not currently use Google Analytics or other third-party behavioral analytics or advertising trackers. If this changes, we will update this policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and its features;
  • Process your subscription payments and manage billing through Stripe;
  • Generate responses to your inputs in our plant-information, symptom-suggestion, and ritual features (which involves sending your inputs to our AI provider — see Section 4);
  • Review conversations that our safety system flags — for example, around grief or serious medical topics — so a person can check the exchange before the conversation continues. Flagged conversations are read for this safety purpose only;
  • Save and display the content you create (such as rituals and reflections);
  • Respond to your messages and provide customer support;
  • Send you transactional communications (such as account and billing notices) and, if you have opted in, marketing emails;
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information (Third-Party Service Providers)

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with third-party service providers (“processors”) who perform services on our behalf, only as needed to operate the Service:

Important note about AI features. When you use features powered by our AI provider (Anthropic), the information you submit to those features is sent to that provider to generate a response. Do not submit information through these features that you would not want processed in this way. Conversations with these features are stored so they can continue across visits, and — when flagged by our safety system — may be reviewed by us (see Section 3).

We may also disclose information: (a) to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental request; (b) to enforce our Terms of Service; (c) to protect the rights, property, or safety of Living Algorithm, our users, or others; or (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will take steps to protect your information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. We retain and use information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting hello@livingalgorithm.com (see Section 7).

6. International Users and Data Transfers

Living Algorithm is operated from the United States, and our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions that may have data-protection laws different from those in your country.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another region with data-protection laws, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data, and certain obligations may apply to our processing of your data. We aim to honor applicable rights, including the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any such rights, contact hello@livingalgorithm.com.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your account and personal information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (e.g. unsubscribe from marketing emails);
  • Data portability — receive a copy of certain data in a usable format.

To exercise any of these, email hello@livingalgorithm.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact hello@livingalgorithm.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
