Traditionally used

Not for use in pregnancy. Anti-emetic: leaf decoction taken orally for nausea and vomiting (Haitian traditional use). Anti-rheumatic: boiled leaves applied locally for joint pain. Sprains and trauma: leaf decoction taken orally or boiled leaves applied topically.

In three languages

Kreyòl — Pa itilize pandan gwosès. Kont vomisman: enfizyon fèy bwè pou kalme nòze ak vomisman (itilizasyon tradisyonèl ayisyen). Kont romatism: fèy bouyi aplike lokal pou doulè atrikilè. Kont antòs ak chòk: enfizyon fèy bwè oswa fèy bouyi aplike sou kote ki blese.

Français — Ne pas utiliser pendant la grossesse. Antiémétique : décoction de feuilles, voie orale, contre les nausées et vomissements (usage traditionnel haïtien). Antirhumatismal : feuilles bouillies en application locale pour les douleurs articulaires. Contre les foulures et traumatismes : décoction de feuilles en voie orale ou feuilles bouillies en application locale.
