Coat buttons (zèb kay) — Tridax procumbens, used in Haitian and Caribbean herbal tradition

Traditionally used

A humble yellow-eyed daisy of yards and roadsides, reached for the moment skin breaks — the crushed leaf and its juice stop bleeding and close cuts and wounds, and a decoction is taken for colds and the liver.

In three languages

Kreyòl — sere / fèmen blesi ak ji fèy fre; ede san kaye (emostatik); poze poulti sou koupe ak abse; bese sik nan san
