The Crossing

Herzegovina to the Highlands · Late March – September · By application

Once a season, the practice leaves the screen. The work moves onto the ground — a small, private journey along the South Adriatic and through Bosnia and Herzegovina. Olive, fig, wild fennel, rosemary, mountain herbs — water, stone, and the plants that grow here. Not Haitian plants in a foreign place, but the same way of attending, carried to a different one. Guided, not toured. Some medicine you have to travel to.

The three crossings — choose one

Hosted by the two of us — in English, French, and Bosnian — with local experts leading each door: winemakers, historians, park guides, the families themselves. Two ways to travel the road: a car of your own in easy convoy, or a car and driver arranged by the house.

Four rooms to a departure — seventy-two places across the whole 2027 season, and the list opens them first.

The days, the routes, the named households, and the seasons’ departures are shared inside the house. Members of the Grove see each crossing first — doors held open for two weeks before anyone else.
