Leaf tea: steep handful of fresh leaves in hot water 10 minutes, drink 1 cup at night for anxiety, insomnia, and stress. Fresh leaf juice applied to sunburn and irritated skin. Leaf poultice applied to minor wounds and inflamed skin. Lactucarium from stems used traditionally for pain relief and sedation. Eat raw leaves daily as cooling anti-inflammatory food.
