Lady's bedstraw stirs the body's excretory work — kidney, liver, skin and gut all quicken to the fresh plant. It is an old remedy for sluggish urine, portal and lymphatic congestion and a bound-up belly, and washed over the skin it cleans and settles weeping eczema and open sores. Infuse a tablespoon of the fresh flowering tops in a cup of just-boiled water for ten to fifteen minutes, taken hot once to three times a day; or a teaspoon of the pressed juice, diluted well, three times daily.

Français — Le gaillet jaune relance le travail d'excrétion du corps — reins, foie, peau et intestin s'animent tous à la plante fraîche. C'est un vieux remède des urines paresseuses, de la stase portale et lymphatique et du ventre constipé ; en lavage sur la peau, il nettoie et calme l'eczéma suintant et les plaies. Faire infuser une cuillerée de sommités fleuries fraîches dans une tasse d'eau frémissante dix à quinze minutes, chaud, une à trois fois par jour ; ou une cuillerée à café de suc pressé, bien dilué, trois fois par jour.
