Prepared as

Leaf tea: boil handful in 2 cups water 10 minutes, drink half cup twice daily for fever and respiratory infections. Fresh leaf poultice applied to wounds, skin rashes, and insect bites. Bark decoction: boil small piece 15 minutes, drink for digestive complaints. WARNING: handle with gloves — skin contact with leaves may cause irritation in sensitive individuals.
