Herb Paris
Parisette à quatre feuilles
Paris quadrifolia
Melanthiaceae

Traditionally used
⚠ Poisonous — documented here, not for use. Herb Paris carries powerful hemolytic saponins throughout the plant, and its single dark berry has caused real poisoning, most dangerously in children who mistake it for fruit. These saponins are strong cellular toxins and severe local irritants. Any historical medicinal role was confined to homeopathic dilution under a practitioner; there is no safe household preparation.
