Prepared as

Leaf tea: boil 5 leaves in 2 cups water 10 minutes, drink half cup for constipation and liver support. Roasted seeds eaten as coffee substitute. Seed oil applied to dry skin and scalp. Root decoction: boil small piece 15 minutes, drink for fever and digestive complaints. WARNING: use in moderation — laxative effect strong, limit to 1 cup daily, avoid during pregnancy.
