Frog fruit (Fleur la Cigale) — Phyla nodiflora, used in Haitian and Caribbean herbal tradition

Traditionally used

A low creeping mat of small leaves and button flowers. A whole-plant infusion is taken as a diuretic and for colds and fevers, and laid on as a poultice for wounds and swellings. ⚠ Avoid in pregnancy (it is an emmenagogue).

Français — Tapis rampant de petites feuilles et de fleurs en boutons. Une infusion de la plante entière se prend comme diurétique et contre rhumes et fièvres, et s'applique en cataplasme sur plaies et enflures. ⚠ À éviter pendant la grossesse (c'est un emménagogue).
