Field bindweed — Convolvulus arvensis, used in Haitian and Caribbean herbal tradition

Traditionally used

⚠ Not for casual internal use — the root and resin are strongly purgative, and the plant carries bioactive alkaloids with hypotensive effects; avoid in pregnancy. In Balkan folk tradition a weak leaf or flower infusion has been used as a mild laxative and diuretic, and best approached only with a qualified practitioner.
