Bark decoction: boil small piece of bark in 2 cups water 15 minutes, drink half cup twice daily for fever and malaria. Leaf tea: boil handful 10 minutes, drink for digestive complaints. Bark poultice applied to skin infections and wounds. Bitter compounds in bark support liver function — limit to 2 cups daily, avoid during pregnancy.
