Yellow dock — a tall roadside dock whose deep yellow root is a classic blood cleanser and gentle laxative, long taken for stubborn skin (eczema, acne, boils) and as an iron-bearing remedy for anaemia. ⚠ High in oxalates: not for those prone to kidney stones, nor in large or prolonged doses. ⚠ Use only the cooked or root preparation, never the raw leaf — a fatal poisoning is on record from a large raw-plant meal (soluble oxalates).
