Sweet woodruff — Galium odoratum, used in Haitian and Caribbean herbal tradition

Traditionally used

⚠ Contains coumarin — fine in small culinary or tisane amounts, but high or repeated doses bring headache, nausea, and dizziness, and it thins the blood; avoid alongside anticoagulants and in pregnancy. A gently sedative, hay-scented herb taken as a mild infusion for restlessness and to settle the stomach.
