Leaf tea: boil handful of leaves in 2 cups water 10 minutes, drink 1 cup daily for anemia and nutrition. Young leaves eaten boiled as vegetable for iron and protein. Seed flour used as nutritious food supplement. Root decoction: boil small piece 15 minutes, drink for digestive complaints. Fresh leaf juice applied to wounds and inflamed skin.
