Monkshood / Aconite — Aconitum napellus, used in Haitian and Caribbean herbal tradition

Traditionally used

⚠ Deadly poison — documented for recognition and caution, never for use. Every part holds aconitine; a few grams of root, or 3–6 mg of aconitine, can kill, and the toxin is absorbed through skin and mucous membranes. It has no safe home preparation. If contact is suspected, seek emergency care.
