Traditionally used

Chronic venous insufficiency. Lymphedema, heavy legs. Hemorrhoids. Post-thrombotic syndrome. Bruises and contusions (topical).

Chemistry

Coumarin glycosides (melilotoside) — venotonic, anti-edematous, anti-inflammatory, lymph drainage support. Coumarin has anti-edematous (not anticoagulant) properties at normal doses.
