Prepared as

Fresh or dried Siam weed leaves are typically prepared as a hot tea by steeping 1-2 tablespoons of crushed leaves in boiling water (100°C) for 10-15 minutes, then strained and consumed warm. For external applications, the fresh leaves are crushed and applied directly as a poultice to wounds, or boiled into a concentrated decoction for washing injuries and skin conditions. The tea is traditionally taken 2-3 times daily in small cups (about 1/2 cup per dose) for digestive issues and respiratory ailments.
