Prepared as
The sensitive plant leaves and stems are traditionally prepared as a hot water infusion by steeping 1-2 teaspoons of fresh or dried plant material in 1 cup of boiling water (212°F) for 10-15 minutes, then strained. In Haitian tradition, this tea is consumed 2-3 times daily in small doses of 1/4 to 1/2 cup for digestive issues and women's health concerns. The fresh leaves may also be crushed and applied directly as a poultice for wound healing and skin conditions.
