Traditionally used

Febrifuge: plant juice taken orally for fever (Haitian traditional use). Edible halophyte: leaves eaten raw or cooked, good source of vitamin C. Haemostatic: topical application documented in West Africa. If fever persists beyond 2 days or worsens, seek medical attention.
