Prepared as

For digestive issues and diarrhea, prepare a decoction by boiling 2-3 tablespoons of dried sea grape leaves in 2 cups of water for 15-20 minutes, then strain and drink 1/2 cup three times daily while warm. The bark can be prepared similarly by simmering 1 tablespoon of chopped bark in 1 cup of water for 10-15 minutes for treating skin conditions when applied as a warm wash. Fresh leaves are also traditionally crushed and applied directly to wounds or made into a poultice for treating cuts and inflammatory skin conditions.
