Prepared as

Leaf tea: boil handful of leaves in 2 cups water 10 minutes, drink half cup twice daily for inflammation and pain. Crushed fresh leaves applied as poultice to swollen joints and bruises. Root decoction: boil small piece of root 15 minutes, drink for urinary complaints. Steam inhalation of leaf tea used for respiratory congestion.
